Years ago, Bill Butler had a vision. He realized people with disabilities couldn’t have some of their basic needs met through regular funding sources, so in 1982, Bill pioneered the BILL BUTLER CHAMPAIGN OPEN so that proceeds from this annual tournament could assist these individuals.
The BBCO golf tournament is the agency’s principal promotional activity held annually in August. Funds generated from the BBCO directly benefit individuals served by CRSI. Net proceeds from this tournament, or any other promotional activity connected to the tournament, are used to provide for the needs of individuals that are not covered by other funding sources. Well over a half-million dollars has been raised since the start of the BBCO in 1982, and this tournament continues to benefit individuals with challenges—thanks to all of you golfers, volunteers and supporters.
